Mr. Theo Young is the type of instructor who teaches with the intent of the students learning the subject matter. I've had instructors in the past, who taught simply to display how much they know, without regard for students seeking to learn.
The teaching was thorough, concept was all explained to where I was able to grasp all concepts. The course was easy to follow. Overall, Excellent class, Instructor was excellent I recommend to anyone interested in enrolling in the courses. I was able to ask questions and receive answers in a timely manner. Everything was explained and easy to understand.
The instructor put the class into perspective where everybody could understand. He was a technician just like we are and could relate better to us.
Mr. Theo displayed a level of professionalism that helped bring the information he was teaching easier to comprehend. He had great communication throughout the class. He also was very detailed with his assessment feedback. My overall experience was a roller coaster of emotions. By the end of the week, I was confident that the information was retained. I came into this class not knowing anything at all about Phased Array, by the end of the week I felt strong enough to be able to speak the language with confidence.
I was very fortunate to attend the ndt gym setting at Refined and was very impressed. Theo was not only very helpful but has created a great environment. Along with the test specimens he has an excellent library you can browse through to help you visually see the different characteristics of various defects. He was more than willing to answer any questions I had and even gave me some good tips to better my technique. If you want to tighten up on your technique or flaw detection I would strongly recommend you hit the gym at Refined. It’s definitely a great place to work out!
Theo and Chuck are passionate about NDT! I loved learning the methods from them. I look forward to my next course.
