Magnetic Particle Testing I & II introduces a powerful inspection method that uses electromagnetic currents to detect surface and near-surface defects in a variety of manufacturing processes. Due to its effectiveness and ease of application, Magnetic Particle Testing has become one of the most widely used nondestructive testing (NDT) methods, employed on more parts and materials than any other technique in the industry today.

The course includes 16 hours of hands-on training, during which instructors will demonstrate both Yoke, Prods, Cable, & Bench techniques, with wet and dry particle applications. Students will also engage in mock-up exercises and practical exams designed to simulate real-world NDT scenarios. Upon successful completion, participants will receive 32 total hours of accredited classroom training, with knowledge assessed through an exam.
This course meets the requirements of SNT-TC-1A, CP-189, and NAS-410.

I was very fortunate to attend the ndt gym setting at Refined and was very impressed. Theo was not only very helpful but has created a great environment. Along with the test specimens he has an excellent library you can browse through to help you visually see the different characteristics of various defects. He was more than willing to answer any questions I had and even gave me some good tips to better my technique. If you want to tighten up on your technique or flaw detection I would strongly recommend you hit the gym at Refined. It’s definitely a great place to work out!
Before I took the ISQ exams, I heard a lot about how difficult the exams is and I experienced a lot of people take the test multiple times without success. after going through the class with refined Inspection Services, I was able to gather all the basics that I needed and was able to pass the test. The teaching was thorough, concept was all explained to where I was able to grasp all concepts. The course was easy to follow. Overall, Excellent class, Instructor was excellent I recommend to anyone interested in enrolling in the courses. I was able to ask questions and receive answers in a timely manner.
